Course Description
Welcome to the golf course! Whether you have never picked up a golf club in your life, getting back to the sport for the first time in a while, or if you’re looking to enjoy the game more – this course is perfect for you.
During this 12-module course you will learn the basic, intermediate, and advanced skills needed to play the game of golf confidently and with enjoyment. Each session is geared toward a different core element of golf and is designed in a way to ensure you learn at your own pace.
The course is delivered in person in small groups or individual one-on-one sessions and can start anytime of the year. The course location is in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and is open to anyone.

- Assistance available Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm AST
Depending on the time of year that you start this course, the modules will be delivered either indoors on Trackman golf simulators, outdoors on a driving range, or a mix of both.
Due to the course structure, the location of the modules will not affect the quality of the learning throughout the course. Weather may also affect the location of the modules.
About Cam McNeil
Cam joined the PGA of Canada in late 2022, shortly after opening Par 94 Golf in November 2021. Over the past 4 years he has worked closely with many golf leaders in the Fredericton area to develop a trusted and reliable source for golf development and improvement.
He works with everyone from beginners to elite players alike. He has a very data-driven approach to his instruction, and is passionate about making the game of golf more accessible to all those who would like to experience it.
Course Modules – Detailed Overview
Module #1 – Grip, Posture & Alignment
In this module you will learn how to hold the golf club properly, how to set up the proper stance, and how to aim correctly at your desired target. Basic swing mechanics will be covered.
Module #2 – Contact & Weight Transfer
Module #2 will discuss how to make great contact with the golf ball. Understanding the swing mechanics in more detail, specifically weight transfer and release techniques.
Module #3 – Direction & Dispersion
In this module, learners will understand how the golf ball travels in certain directions based on the impact data and physics of the golf swing. Modern radar technology will be used.
Module #4 – Power and Distance
Module #4 focuses on the speed of the golf swing and how to generate more power and distance in golf shots. This builds on all previous modules in this course.
Module #5 – Driver and Woods
Equipment is a very important factor in the golf swing. This module provides the required understanding for Driver and Wood shots.
Module #6 – Wedges (Full Swing)
Based on the previous understanding of Modules 1–4, this module focuses on the specific techniques for full swing wedge shots.
Module #7 – Chipping and Pitching
Module #7 shifts focus from full swing shots to the short game. Getting the ball as close to the hole as possible from inside 50 yards away from the hole is the key takeaway of this module.
Module #8 – Putting
Once a golfer is on the green, the goal now shifts to getting the ball in the hole. This module gets learners to understand critical putting techniques and strategies to do just this.
Module #9 – Bunker Shots
Module #9 focuses on the techniques and fundamentals to understand how to hit bunker shots from various distances and situations. Bunkers are a critical hazard to escape from.
Module #10 – Course Etiquette
Learners in this module will gain the understanding of how to play a round of golf while properly following course etiquette, procedures, social norms, and sportsmanship.
Module #11 – Strategy & Club Selection
Module #11 covers all aspects of course management and strategy to help learners develop a high acuity for attaining better scores.
Module #12 – Scoring & Rules
The final module covers basic rules of the game and how to properly keep score in a game of golf. Scoring variations are also discussed.

Indoor instruction and outdoor instruction are both available.
Cost
The cost for the entire course is $1,200 + HST. Payments can be made all upfront before the first module is started, or in 2 payments ($600 + HST each) billed before the first module is started and after the 6th module is completed.
